How do you open a durian? Let us show you...
How to open a durian fruit - page 1
How to open a durian fruit - page 2
How to open a durian fruit - page 3
Once you have removed the flesh from a couple sections of durian, you can open remaining sections from the inside. |
Apply a little pressure on the sides of the durian, pushing outward and dig your thumb (or fingers) into the center, pulling open the inside seam. |
Pull open the entire inner seam. |
Rip away the un-needed shell. |
Pull out the luscious fruit of your labor. |
Here is the fruit from a typical durian. YUM!!! Dig in! |
Each section of fruit within a pod has a seed. There are folds of fruit covering it. The folds may be pulled away, exposing the seed. |
Here is another look at the seed, as well as a close-up. The seed makes a nice handle to hole on to, while eating away the delicious durian! Enjoy! |
